Hair life cycle: understanding to boost better
To boost growth or slow down hair loss, you must first understand how hair works .
It all starts in the scalp, where each hair follows a natural life cycle . This cycle is broken down into three main phases — and each one is important.
1. Anagen phase: growth (2 to 8 years)
This is the active phase , the one where the hair grows.
The follicle is fully nourished, keratin is synthesized, and the hair shaft forms.
✔ Approximately 85 to 90% of your hair is in the anagen phase at any given time.
✔ This is the phase to stimulate if you want to accelerate growth or improve density.
2. Catagen phase: transition (2 to 4 weeks)
This is a short phase where growth stops. The hair gradually detaches from the follicle, but does not yet fall out.
✔ It prepares the ground for the natural fall.
✔ No treatment can restart hair in this phase: the goal is to preserve the scalp for later.
3. Telogen phase: hair shedding (3 to 9 months)
The hair is dead; it remains in place for a few weeks before falling out.
A new hair then begins to form in the follicle.
✔ This is a normal phase: we lose 50 to 100 hairs a day without any warning.
✔ Excessive hair loss can occur if too many hairs switch to telogen at the same time (stress, deficiency, postpartum…).
Why is this important?
Because each hair treatment or supplement acts at a specific point in the cycle .
Kahee Hairmergency+ ampoules have been designed to support the anagen phase :
- By stimulating microcirculation
- By providing the sulfur amino acids necessary for keratin
- By correcting deficiencies (zinc, biotin, B vitamins)
- By supporting scalp regeneration
Key points to remember:
Understanding your hair cycle means understanding when and how to act.
And it also means accepting that true effectiveness is observed over several weeks , not in three days.
